Sometimes, taking a single picture of a beautiful site is underwhelming.  In order to capture such a magnitude of detail, often in a wide angle, many photographs must be taken and put together after being printed.  The below photo sculptures have between 18 and 53 photos in each one.  Once printed, the pictures are put together like a puzzle, glued and taped, flattened and dusted.  Every individual photo displayed has been selected for its benefit to the overall picture. Below are 8 photo sculptures equating to 40 square feet.

Botanic Garden * 32 pictures, 34.5″ x 18.5″ *   Taken in San Diego’s beautiful Balboa Park, the Botanical Garden sits behind a reflection pool.

Balboa Flowers * 26 pictures, 34″ x 17″ * Beautiful flowers in Balboa Park’s Alcazar Garden charm viewers with their many colors and textures.

La Jolla Ebb & Flow * 25 pictures, 23″ x 28″ * La Jolla’s coastal beaches are among the most beautiful scenes in San Diego. Millions of people visit them annually in search of enjoying the waves, cool breeze and scenic views.

Downtown Skyline * 18 pictures, 26″ x 15″ *   Taken from Coronado Island, San Diego’s downtown skyline evokes serenity from such a distance.

Horseshoe River * 32 pictures, 33.5″ x 22.5″ * Much of the land in Page, Arizona, is carved by water. Nearby the famous Antelope Valley sits the Horseshoe River

Petra’s Treasury  * 37 pictures, 25″ x 26.5″ * Made famous by Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Petra is Jordan’s prize archeological landmark. Once used as the center for trade in the middle east, Petra’s treasury facade, much like the rest of the carved city, gallantly stands near the city of Acaba.

Cement Sunset at the Tiger’s Den * 45 pictures, 28″ x 35.5″ * A 6-hour trek through old villages near Kathmandu, Nepal, sits the Tiger’s Den at Nama Buddha. The prayer flags in the background gently sway in the wind as the sunsets behind one of three stupas on top of this steep hill.

The Cherries of Jain * 53 pictures, 30″ x 37″ * Not far from India’s most romantic city of Udaipur, lies the majestic temple of Rounakpur. The temple boasts more than 1,400 beams, each with its own delicate and traditional designs. The girl in the cherry dress add a fitting element of mystique with her expression.

This commercial is a quick representation of my MBA thesis. We were given a facial recognition technology from Hewlett Packard. Our mission: to identify a profitable market for this application. My team and I identified a niche market in museum evaluation.

This photo was published in Oregon State University’s Prism Art and Literature Magazine.  This woman was walking in the streets of Pushcar, Rajasthan in India.  As soon as I made eye contact with her I was drawn to her and needed to take a photo of her.  Still, her eyes captivate me and her story intrigues me.

Nepal truly is the Crown of the World.  The white mountains that rise well above the clouds peak at the highest altitudes in the world.  The people warm you up with their smiles even when there is snow to their ankles.  The clean air and fresh water are undoubtedly the purest one can experience.

Petra is known at one of the 7 wonders of the world.  It is beautiful and mysterious.  Have a look at what it would really be like if you took a trip to visit Petra.  Even take a look at the Treasury facade when it is lit up with hundreds of candles at night.
