A Journey to Tijara Fort
Please watch in HQ!
Aaron and I took a journey to an abandoned fort only a few miles away from the Sagar School. We passed through several of the local villages and met some friends before arriving at the fort. The Tijara fort has a long story of love and deceit, here is a quick summary.
The king of Alwar (this local district in Rajasthan) fell in love with a Muslim girl from a nearby village. Her mother allowed him to marry her under one condition that their son would become the next king. The King accepted the offer and married the woman even though he already had a son that was in line to be crowned.
They resided together in Alwar, 50 kilometres away from this fort in Tijara. When the son became old enough to become king, they started building this fort in Tijara. The king was dishonest and still had plans for his eldest son to become the king. He told his half Muslim son that he must experience war before he could become King. He suited up to fight and was murdered by a couple of the King’s servants. Shortly after, his mother had died too and the construction of the fort was never completed.
Recently, the fort has been acquired by a rich white man, he has plans to convert it into a hotel. A real shame in my opinion.

bRad,
awesome!! i agree this was very well put together, it feels…genuine! I enjoyed watching it!! and listening to it…and just the way you did your storytelling..i most definitely like how you’ve called it…”stitch photography”! You don’t really need an actual video camera to show the sequence of scenes. PBS might really enjoy this type of video bloggin, or photobloggin — can’t wait for the next one!!? eheh Anyway…i’m proud of you Brad!!!
Hey Brad,
That was AWESOME!!!!!!! So good to hear from you . . .I’m sure when you return the stories of your adventure will be numerous. Continue to keep track of them through your gift of videography and photography and you’ll always have a greater appreciation of what you did, whose lives you touched, who impacted your life and what these months in a foreign land meant to you. Love you honey, TS
Shoot. I cannot open this up but I read your text. You write soo well! I wish you were with us in Peru to write about the forts there and keep track. U R a terrific writer. Now I want to definitely see the video! Enjoy your days in India!

Your photo stitching is amazing. I really enjoy this form of video presentation. This was well put together and fun to watch. How did you get the audio? And how are you doing the production work? Did you bring a fully loaded laptop with you? You’re getting really good on that camera!
I see all that training with Shindy.TV has really paid off!
Thanks for sharing this; it was a real treat. I’m glad you look like you’re having a wonderful experience in India. How is the work over there going?

Happy Birthday yo, even though It’s the 17th around these parts. Pretty good site you’ve got here. Seeing Hurv with the gun reminds me of our old neighborhood when we had to fend off vagrants and hippies.
Brad this is an amazing video. I know that you are having an incredible experience. Can’t wait to see more of your journey.Have a safe visit.
Brad Darling,
